Amanda Worth, M.A
I am a Pre-Licensed Counselor who earned my degree from Adler University in Counseling, specializing in Sport and Health Psychology. I have had the privilege of working with clients of all different backgrounds and walks of life both in outpatient and residential level of care. I am grateful that I can utilize my background and knowledge to guide individuals in accomplishing their goals by establishing values, exploring pieces of the past that are still impactful, and rediscovering themselves.
I prioritize the individual and meet them where they are with an individualized approach. I create a warm and safe place for clients to feel seen and heard with my compassionate, empathetic, and kind demeanor. I am passionate about helping clients live more by their values, increasing assertive communication, and learning to tolerate emotional distress effectively. I pull from my training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am working on my Trauma Informed Yoga Certification (YTT) to better support my clients’ connection with their mind, body, and soul.
My areas of specialty include eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, parent coaching (providing education and coaching to parents or supports to help navigate their loved one’s eating disorder recovery), and sport performance.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, dog Lola, traveling, and cooking.
